Red Lion, Hellidon, Northamptonshire

The Red Lion bar/café with rooms is a curious low ascent stone-constructed bar encompassed by the beautiful town of Hellidon, Northamptonshire. It is the sister to The Castle at with rooms and both to the Free Spirit Pub bunch.

It has seven rooms, and however we didn’t remain the evening, we got to feast there.

As we entered The Red Lion we were welcomed with a colossally warm greeting by the staff and a hello with a speculative sniff and eye-up from their occupant canine, Percy. Evidently, this adorable dog accompanied the structure.

In general the open eatery however conventional somehow or another – there is an exquisite log fire, it is just about as splendid and friendly as the assistance – an enormous whoop to Jorg whose comedic chat was extraordinarily engaging.

Food and Drink
The menu is fascinating and to start off we decided on duck cakes – wads of delicate destroyed duck in tacky, sweet soya sauce and stuffed mushroom. Both went down well overall.

For mains, we had a hand squeezed burger with spectacularly executed fat chips and chicken schnitzel and garlic spread presented with fries. Both were brilliantly flavorsome. The cheesecake came energetically suggested and we shared the immense piece that showed up between two of us.

Wines are abundant – we picked a South African shiraz – Tall Horse-for its great fruity flavors. There are additionally mixed drinks, and privately blended brews excessively, for example, Hook Norton best harsh and Cotswald Pale.
